Barker recently took on this newly created role as the engine maintenance provider prepares to roll out capabilities for CFM International Leap 1A and 1B engines at its San Antonio site. StandardAero was the first independent MRO in the U.S. to become an authorized maintenance provider for the engine type. In addition to becoming the company’s first female president last summer, Kinsley was named vice president for V2500 programs at Pratt & Whitney. Naufel, who took on his new role Sept. 1, will oversee record growth in Embraer’s services and support business: By the end of 2023’s third quarter, it had reached a record $2.8 billion in earnings. Its new E190 passenger-to-freighter conversion program will likely drive even more business. Naufel’s experience as technical director at Azul Linhas Aereas will likely come into play as Embraer looks to break into agnostic MRO capability for other aircraft types.
