Domestic private aviation utilization continues to climb. Since international borders have reopened, large-cabin aircraft flights also have picked up.
Greenpoint Technologies, a completions center near Seattle, has seen a “steady recovery and restored confidence in the V-VIP completion and refurbishment markets” as well as a “significant increase in head-of-state programs,” says Chad Thorne, the company’s vice president of sales and marketing.
Greenpoint recently won contracts for two V-VIP Boeing 787-9 completions, one Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) refurbishment and multiple head-of-state projects.
It debuted this 1/20th-scale V-VIP BBJ 777X interior model at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition here to highlight its new interior concept.
A Japanese Zen garden inspired Greenpoint’s design team to create this interior intended to connect passengers with nature. The company uses reclaimed walnut veneer, recycled fabrics and lightweight materials for a lower environmental impact.
